"...rock and roll suitable for the apocalypse."

-Wilson Phillips

The Protomen were conceived in 1987, when a diminutive Mississippi child was given a gift for his kindergarten graduation — A small grey cartridge with a rather misrepresentative cover art. At that moment, six other children, of varied statures and geographical locales, were also given these cartridges, and thus their grooming began. Sixteen years later, in the middle of the state of volunteers and under the tutelage of Doug Mitchell, their paths converged, their fates were made known, and their assembly was made complete. They then set out their mission: to purge the world of the evil that had been brought on by the new wave of music with naught to say (Billy Idol’s ‘Cyberpunk’ in particular), and to revive the rock opera. They retreated from the world into an underground bunker called the Thundercon, where they remain to this day, planning their insurrection against evil and deciphering the ancient writings on the wall thereof that the old story might be told. According to the most recent information available, the Protomen are tenfold in number: Commander (Synthesis), Murphy (Synthesis), Heath Who Hath No Name (Lead Guitar), Panther (Synthesis/Vocals), The Dragon(Drums), Scartoe (Guitar), The Replicant (Brass, Human Cries), The Gambler (Human Cries), The Keymaster (Human Cries), and Kilroy 3K (Service Bot).

R.I.P. : DOUG FETTERMAN
R.I.P. : THE MERCHANT
P.O.W. : DEMON BARBER

The Protomen are my fourth favorite band.  Their songs are very inspirational and full of meaning.  they are very deep.  they may just look like Megaman fans to some people, but to the few of us who understand their call, they are heroes.  The Saviors of Man.  They are our only hope.
